In depth

Formwatch

Ellens Lad (IRE) Goes on any ground but suggestion he is better over 6f these days; goes well for Pat Eddery.

Guinea Hunter (IRE) Stepping back in trip from recent efforts and possibly not as effective at the minimum trip; goes on any ground.

Vita Spericolata (IRE) Trainer on fire at present and horse good on his day; worrying that worst effort this term came at this track.

Lord Kintyre Loves this track and very capable on his day but recent form has been below the standards he has set; will handle soft ground.

Ellens Academy (IRE) Holds Smokin Beau on July run but is far happier on faster ground and could struggle if he takes part.

Kyllachy Lightly-raced and seems to improve with each run; needs to improve again to take a hand here and not guaranteed to be suited by a soft surface.

Smart Predator Won well at Beverley last time out after being unlucky at Epsom; has run creditably on a soft surface but would prefer it firm.

Boleyn Castle (USA) High class effort at Epsom on penultimate start before disappointing last time out at Doncaster; chance if back to form and has ability on a soft surface.

Perfect Peach Very consistent type who has been campaigned at 6f this term; could give a good account of himself at a decent price.

Jessica's Dream (IRE) Would have excellent chance if trainer was in better form and ground was faster; not one to rely upon today.

Afaan (IRE) Has been out of form of late but is very capable on his day; should go well on a soft surface.

Dancing Mystery Suited by 5f; goes on any ground and looks well handicapped at present; should go well.

Get Stuck In (IRE) Some poor runs of late but had previously showed improved form when encountering a soft surface; good each way claims.

Shoeshine Boy (IRE) Not at his best of late but could go close if running up to his best form.

Smokin Beau Trainer in good form but ground likely to be against this consistent performer.

Brevity Credit to his trainer and good effort in Ayr Gold Cup last week; yet to race on soft surface of late and ability to handle it is taken on trust.

Flying Millie (IRE) Stable in form but this horse seems better suited by 6f; has got form on good to soft.

Henry Hall (IRE) Five furlong specialist but needs good racing ground to produce his best and best watched today.
