Verdict
MAGIC CITY could hardly have been more impressive when spread-eagling a field of well-bred newcomers at Newbury 12 days ago. Richard Hannon's colt is above average on that evidence and should follow up here, despite facing another three previous winners. The pick of the opposition may be the filly Miss Work Of Art, who showed a nice turn of foot to score at Lingfield but is upped in grade here. She appears to have the beating of Nottingham winner The Penny Horse on a line through Lingfield third Choice Of Remark. Dawn Lightning has a lot more to do than when successful in a Lingfield maiden auction while newcomer Ewell Place will have to be smart to land this.
