Verdict

The return to two miles should suit the nicely-weighted DESERT RECLUSE. Pat Eddery's colt was heavily eased at York last time but he has run two good races over this course and distance. A mark of 90 looks at the upper limit of his ability but he looks worth chancing today. Atlantic Tiger is another who should improve for the longer trip, whilst Ermyn Lodge always tries his best but he didn't enjoy Goodwood when last seen in June. Aaim To Prosper runs this track very well, a comment that also applies to Colloquial who beat him here in July. Keenes Day looks leniently treated by the handicapper for his Beverley success, and along with Perfect Shot, Woolfall Treasure and the consistent Omokoroa helps make this a very competitive finale.
