In depth

Formwatch

Best Mate (IRE) Appears to go from strength to strength and was most impressive on his warm up run for this race; stays this trip well and should have no problem giving weight all round before going on to bigger and better things.

Wahiba Sands Yet to prove he really stays this trip but his a high-class chaser on his day; from the all-conquering Pipe yard so cannot be totally ruled out but lack of decent chase wins is alarming.

Dusk Duel (USA) Progressive chaser last season and looks the type who will have improved over time; first appearance for nearly a year and has tended to need a run in the past; does not look an easy ride and jockey will need to be at his best.

Logician (NZ) Looks below this level but deserves to take his chance; not disgraced at Ascot on penultimate start and could be the one for the forecast; has plenty to find with Best Mate on Sandown run last season.
