Verdict
Easter Eric made little impression on his hurdling bow but bumper winner MOONLIGHTER ran well for third behind the progressive Anytime Will Do at Bangor on his first start over timber and the runner-up has subsequently won. Jane Williams’ charge may prove good enough in this with normal progress. Breaking Waves finished a creditable third in a Cheltenham bumper last month despite carrying a penalty while Geordie B made a winning start in a bumper at Hereford back in April. Westbury has also shown ability in bumpers and is related to a winning hurdler while the newcomer Igor is a half-brother to a winner on the Flat representing the powerful Henderson yard.
