Aidan O’Brien has won two of the last three renewals and has the likely favourite this year in Alluringly. Third in the Epsom Oaks, when ahead of Coronet, she could fare better here if ridden closer to the pace. The Frankel filly Mori is improving fast and easily beat Coconut Creme in a Listed race at Goodwood last month. She’s a half-sister to Midterm so the step up to 1m4f shouldn’t be a problem. John Gosden runs four but jockey bookings would suggest that Astronomy's Choice, third in the Pretty Polly at Newmarket, is the stable selection ahead of the largely exposed Hertford Dancer. SERENADA could offer some value in this as she stepped up on a narrow defeat of subsequent Goodwood dead-heater Apphia when third in the Musidora at York. She’s a sister to Liber Nauticus, who won the Musidora before finishing fifth in the Oaks, so the extra quarter-mile might well suit. Naughty Or Nice looks progressive but she’ll need to improve again to complete her hat-trick.
