Laugh Aloud could not have been more impressive when displaying a devastating turn of foot to rout her rivals in the Group 3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom. She impressed equally when landing a Listed contest at Haydock previously and will have no problem stepping up to Group 2 level. She's sure to be competitive but faces a high-class French challenge. Usherette scored with something to spare in this contest last season and commands immense respect once again but there is a concern that this ground may be too quick and her national compatriot QEMAH is preferred. She too scored at the Royal meeting last year when landing the Coronation Stakes and has no ground concerns, as evinced by a good ground success in the Prix Rothschild after Ascot. Her yard is back in form after a troublesome period and she should be spot-on after her Lingfield reappearance. Sir Michael Stoute's South African import, Smart Call, ran a cracker on first run for the yard after a lengthy absence and enters calculations along with the much-improved Mix And Mingle. Greta G is a fascinating South American import and could not be in better hands.
