The Fugue has been prominent in the betting for this since finishing a eye-catching third in the Oaks at Epsom. Hampered at a crucial stage, she had plenty of ground to make up and only just failed to catch runner-up Shirocco Star with Vow back in fourth and Kailani, Colima and Twirl further behind. John Gosden's filly will start a deserved favourite but a chance is taken on PRINCESS HIGHWAY. She looks a potential improver over today's distance having won a Group 3 at Naas over 1m2f with subsequent Oaks winner Was back in third and her dam won this for Dermot Weld back in 2002. Momentary has been aimed at this race since beating Shirocco Star in a Listed event at Newbury last month and, with further progress likely over today's longer trip, she makes more appeal than Chesire Oaks disappointment Inchina and Newmarket maiden winner Pink Damsel.
