Jamie Neild won on Townshend here in January and has mount has slipped down the ratings again having run poorly in a couple of starts this term. Didero Vallis races off the same mark as when runner-up in the Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby last Boxing Day. Onefortheroadtom finally came good at Fakenham in March and can’t be ignored with Quarenta another possibility but we’ll stick with the unexposed MR MULDOON in the hope that he jumps a bit better than in a beginners’ chase at Sedgefield. Richard Newland’s gelding has already won around here over hurdles and is proven over the trip. Favorito Buck’s is a course and distance winner but ran a shocker on his reappearance and Caltex was also disappointing at Ayr.
