Verdict

John Gosden holds a strong hand with STAR CATCHER and Anapurna, winners of the Irish and Epsom Oaks respectively, both having leading claims. But Frankie Dettori’s mount beat Anapurna when winning her second Group 1 race at Longchamp last month and the latter has subsequently won at the highest level back in France. Aidan O’Brien bids for third consecutive success in this but Fleeting and Pink Dogwood finished behind the selection last month and Delphinia and South Sea Pearl found Anapurna too good at Longchamp. Tarnawa has improved since well beaten at Epsom in the Oaks but Dermot Weld’s filly needs another step forward to figure and the same can be said of the remainder with Listed winner Antonia De Vega having the most scope of those.
