The Irish have dominated this in recent years. Most of these have form on soft ground but only LEADING LIGHT and Pallasator have won on heavy going. The Queen's mare made amends in the Doncaster Cup, beating Whiplash Willie by a length-and-a-quarter with Biographer further behind, but today's going is a concern. Pallasator beat Flying Officer at Newmarket last month but was behind the selection in the Irish St Leger earlier. Big Orange has beaten Marzocco and Whiplash Willie recently and has each-way claims while Forgotten Rules could be anything after wide-margin wins in a bumper and a stakes race at Galway and shouldn't be ignored.
