Verdict

This is a better race than the one in which Inion Tiogair beat Bethka at Ludlow. Between Waters has a nice pedigree being a half-sister to the bumper and hurdles winner On The Wildside. Our Nel is blinkered after hanging under pressure when fourth at Warwick but Politacus, just beaten last time at Uttoxeter, makes more appeal. Whispering Gold should improve on her fourth at Lingfield but has seven lengths to find with winner Kay Tara Tara. GOLDEN ACE showed a willing attitude at Wincanton and could defy a penalty though Birdhouse, sister to a middle-distance winner in Dubai and a half-sister to three other Flat winners, is worth a market check.
