In depth

Verdict

Warne's Way won at Fontwell last month and Time For Spring is heading in the right direction judged on a recent C&D win. Charlie Longsdon's gelding is probably on a decent weight on his handicap debut while the mare Gold Reef comes into the race on the back of a game win at Sandown. Chief Yeoman is still capable of a prominent showing in this grade but has to give 10lb to MY ARCH. Ollie Pears' stayer won twice on the Flat over the summer and appears to have got in here off a lenient mark bearing in mind he hasn't raced over hurdles since May 2008.
