Verdict

Another tough handicap in which several runners hold solid claims including the progressive Move It and the Barry Hills-trained trio of Judhoor, Fancy Lady and Secret Pride but preference is for Not So Dusty, who is less exposed than most and beat some in-form sprinters last time. Peter Makin's colt was making his debut on turf when winning at Chester last month and, having been raised just 5lbs for that and with a low draw in his favour, he may be worth backing to follow up. Move It has been in fine form this term with wins at Bath, Windsor and Sandown but has risen in the weights considerably as a result and, judged by his latest defeat when second to Bonus at Lingfield, may now be in the handicapper's grip. Judhoor drops down in distance and may find one or two of these too quick for her and a bigger threat may come from stable companion Fancy Lady, who should be suited by the return to the minimum having failed to stay over further previously this term. She is drawn towards the far side and it will be interesting to see how those with a high draw fair here but a low draw is generally considered to be an advantage. Hills other inmate in the race, Secret Pride has been drawn in stall four but has an absence to overcome while, of the others drawn next to the stands side rail, Deportivo (five) has too much weight, Baltic King (one) seems harshly treated on his handicap debut and Dusty Dazzler (three) is out of form. We are happy to side with Not So Dusty from stall four, who has more going for him than most.
