AMOUR PROPRE is given the narrow vote ahead of the Australian raider Scenic Blast and Fleeting Spirit. The selection showed definite signs of ability as a two year old last season and has trained on well winning at Ascot on his seasonal reappearance and followed up with another Group 3 win at Newmarket thereafter. His trainer Henry Candy has made it clear that he rates Amour Propre as one of the best sprinters he has ever trained and with conditions in his favour once again he will not be far away come the business end of the race. Scenic Blast is a multiple Group 1 winner over in Australia. His connections have travelled to the other side of the world to compete so he warrants plenty of respect. Fleeting Spirit is the mount of Ryan Moore and after winning the Temple Stakes at Haydock last season he went onto finish third in this race behind Equiano. He possesses plenty of speed and should be noted in the betting on his seasonal reappearance. This is always a tough race to win but Propre Amour can land his hat-trick for popular trainer Henry Candy.
