In depth

Verdict

Oliver Show made a winning start in handicaps with a cosy two-length success at Kempton. That looks stronger form than last week’s victory of Monopolise at Yarmouth. Goodwood winner Skysail failed to cope with an 8lb rise last time but Theme Park can do better back over this shorter trip. A couple make their handicap debuts with a shout including Sniper's Eye but dual novice winner TYNDRUM GOLD will have come on for last month’s reappearance and Roger Varian’s charge takes his chance in this rather than a higher grade handicap at Newmarket later in the week.
