Verdict

COROEBUS arrives fresh from beating stablemate Native Trail in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and the latter has subsequently won the Irish equivalent. Charlie Appleby’s colt will prove a warm order in this. William Haggas runs two with Tom Marquand sticking with the rapidly improving Listed winner My Prospero ahead of German 2000 Guineas winner Maljoom while Ballydoyle send over Aikhal, who was beaten by Angel Bleu in a Group 1 in France in October. New Energy finished runner-up in the Irish 2000 Guineas but Mighty Ulysses was beaten in a handicap at Haydock last time. Berkshire Shadow, Lusail and Light Infantry all finished behind the selection at Newmarket.
