Verdict

Artarmon, four times a winner last summer, bounced back after two poor runs to score easily at Kempton and would be an obvious threat to all on that form. Master Archer was beaten just over 3l in that event but is 5lb better off so should close the gap. SAROOG completed a double over this trip in minor company last summer and will be better for a reappearance over a trip too short at Newbury. Ship Of The Fen hasn't been able to cope with a 5lb rise for a comfortable victory at Salisbury but the lightly-raced Celestial Force made all under a big weight in a minor Beverley handicap and should be suited by the step-up in trip.
