Simply Breathless has been raised 8lb for winning at Newmarket last month but she scored easily over today’s trip and is preferred to Hateya. The latter also returned an easy winner at Epsom last week but that was over 7f and she carries a penalty here. Racing Country came good in a maiden race at Headquarters last time having been highly tried before that but ODE TO AUTUMN (NAP) is preferred. The latter was narrowly beaten in Class 2 company at Yarmouth a fortnight ago when finishing five lengths clear of the rest and John Gosden’s charge gets the nod on that form.
