A really good race where we'll take a look at three against the field - Distiller, Doubly Guest and Tamimi's History - and we hope we'll be toasting Distiller at around a quarter to four. The selection was well beaten last time but that run can be safely ignored and will, hopefully, enable us to get a better price. The reason that the run can be ignored is that this Invincible Spirit gelding palpably fails to run up to form on soft ground but he had previously beaten Aintree runner up I'm So Lucky on his favoured conditions at Ludlow. The handicapper has taken that into account which is unfortunate but there should be plenty more to come from him. Tamimi's History is heading the right way and this decent Flat performer has the potential to develop into a decent hurdler but his hurdling still leaves something to be desired and he shaped as though a longer trip would suit better when winning at Market Rasen. Doubly Guest is a potential handicap blot as she beat Pierrot Lunaire on debut at Ludlow yet races from a mark of just 121 which could be made to look very lenient. She was far too keen when sent off an even money favourite to beat Whiteoak over course and distance in February before confidence boosting runs behind Binocular and in an egg and spoon race at Stratford. They're by no means the only three with claims but they do comprise our short-list and we'll be hoping that Distiller will be worth the wait.
