Motafaawit won narrowly at Beverley last month but it was a long way back to the third. He’s been raised 7lb while stable companion Aim Power had bits of form last season including a fourth in the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood. Deep Intrigue disappointed at the All-Weather Championships last time but beat James Street at Lingfield at the start of the year and it would be no surprise to see Awe get involved on his return representing last year’s winning yard. But DOUBLE KODIAC makes most appeal after separating higher rated horses when runner-up to the progressive Fox Champion over today’s trip at Newmarket last month with Dirty Rascal well beaten. He should be bang there at the finish on that form and won’t mind any further rain.
