Verdict

Apprentice Jacob Butterfield has struck up a good understanding with Last Sovereign and the partnership returned to winning ways at Newmarket last month. Only half-a-length separated Fair Value and Lady Gibraltar at Epsom last month but Intransigent had more than two lengths to spare over Noverre To Go at Kempton and should confirm the form on only a pound worse terms. KINGSGATE CHOICE hasn't won on Turf since 2010 but looked as though his turn wasn't far away when beaten less than a length by Face The Problem in a big field at Doncaster last month. He's a couple of pounds higher here but still gets the nod ahead of York third Fitz Flyer and the potentially well-treated Burning Thread.
