In depth

Verdict

Bold should progress further now that he's got his head in front. Hawkesbury and Bond's Girl will appreciate this drop in grade while it will be interesting to see how Four Seasons fares back on Turf, though he's plenty high enough in the weights now. CAPEL PATH's third at Newbury has yet to be franked but he looked in need of the run that day. He's probably on a fair mark at present so gets a tentative vote, though there are plenty of dangers. Carnival King won a Newmarket maiden on his reappearance and Auspicion won at Ripon before finishing third at Doncaster. Fruity ran very well in a valuable sales race at the Curragh in September and a repeat of that effort would see him thereabouts.
