    Verdict

Dark Shift has won three of four starts here and returns to action with a shout while Fresh won over 6f here last season and finished in front of Chiefofchiefs at Kempton last month. Magical Morning placed in the Balmoral over a mile here in October while One Ruler finished in front of stablemate Path Of Thunder when third in a Group 2 at Meydan back in January. Accidental Agent returned to winning ways at Newmarket while Vafortino posted a better effort on his debut for a new yard having been gelded, though stable companion Alrehb looks better treated. River Nymph hasn’t threatened since beating Eagleway on soft ground in last year’s renewal so a chance is taken on stablemate ARATUS. Progressive last year, he spoiled his chance when running fresh in Listed company at Leicester on his return behind Path Of Thunder but should settle better today and Clive Cox’ yard remains in top form.
