July’s Leicester winner Golden Force was far too keen at Sandown and that wasn’t his true running. Jaleel is probably still on a fair mark, despite winning at Newmarket and Kempton this year, while Eye Of The Water arrives on a hat-trick after wins in lesser company at Windsor and Leicester. Clara Peeters hasn’t been running badly and soft ground wouldn’t have suited last time at Salisbury. SHAWAAHEQ always had matters well in hand when back to winning ways in a small field at Lingfield. He has a progressive profile and may be good enough to defy a 2lb rise, though it would be no surprise to see some improvement in Riviera Nights following a wind operation.
