Verdict
Ghostwatch came up short over 1m4f here last time but beat Mekong over today’s trip at York in the Melrose before that. The latter went on to win easily at Haydock so the form looks solid enough. Sevenna Star disappointed once again in the Great Voltigeur on the Knavesmire in August and is penalised for winning the Classsic Trial at Sandown back in April while stablemate Enbihaar won a novices’ race at Kempton recently. OUTBOX is a dual novice winner and after an impressive success under a penalty at Leicester last month, a chance is taken on Simon Crisford’s charge improving further for this longer trip. Thimbleweed is the least exposed of the remainder and preferred to India and Austrian School.
