Escobedo finished a promising third over track and trip on his debut with The Whipmaster well behind and looks best of those with experience. But John Gosden sent out last year’s winner and DERAB will attract plenty of attention as a half-brother to six winners including the mighty Enable. He’s an an early Derby entry and preferred to stablemate Highland Rocker, though Greatgadian can include Listed winners among four winning relatives and has an entry in the Group 2 Royal Lodge later in the month. La Barrosa cost a whopping 750,000gns as a half-brother to a winner in France and Mutaraafeq is another debutant to note.
