Verdict

SETTIMO MILANESE (NAP) finished tailed off on his only previous run in a handicap but Richard Newland has improved him out of all recognition. He’s won his last two starts without breaking sweat and is well worth a try in this better company. Ready And Able won at Huntingdon and Uttoxeter at the start of the summer but has gone up a further 7lb. Quest For Life only won by a neck at Hexham in May and is trying a new trip but the extra yardage will suit recent Hexham runner-up The Hollow Ginge and Skipthescales isn’t badly treated if ready following a break. Follow The Bear has scope but will almost certainly make a better chaser than hurdler.
