A competitive affair in which Seeyaaj could post a shock victory with Bleu Superbe, Bohemian Spirit and Fundamentalist all appearing to be players. Lucinda Russell's yard have never been the most fashionable but with Peter Scudamore now stationed there, her horses have been performing well of late. Seeyaaj won well at Bangor on his most recent start and the seven-year-old, who often races prominently, could be worth a look off his feather weight this afternoon. Bleu Superbe ran an entirely creditable race at Kempton last Saturday. The veteran is still entirely capable in spite of his advancing years. Bohemian Spirit was a tad disappointing at Perth on his last start and having not won a race as early as this in the past, he looks worth taking a view about. Fundamentalist has dropped massively down the weights. The handicapper has given him a chance if the mental furniture is sound this afternoon. Of the others, Marshall Hall looked most progressive last term and has solid course form to boot. Launde could be interesting if granted a soft lead whilst Vintage Gold, who saw an abrupt completion to his reappearance, is sure to be popular with AP McCoy in the saddle. Eye Candy was a convincing winner at Gowran Park although he has something to find on his form at Perth. Plenty of horses with chances and we stick with the lightly weighted Seeyaaj to take the first prize.
