In depth
Verdict
Another wide open contest here and the market will be a good guide as to what is expected of the newcomers but the principals look to be Ile Michel, Gallant Hero and Dancer Life and we will side with Gallant Hero. The four year old is from the bang in form Phillip Hobbs yard was a fair sort on the flat at up to 10 furlongs he is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut and with conditions on the fast side he will be hard to beat. Ile Michel rates the main danger as at least he has experience he was a fair second behind Fleet Street on his debut and is sure to have learnt from the experience, Dancer Life is also worthy of respect he was a fair sort on the flat in Germany at up to a mile and a half and is another sure to know his job but he may need slightly further to be seen at his best. Of the remainder Kelly could also go well but will need to settle better if he is to last out the trip.Ocean Dancer is another that could go well as he will like the ground but his best form to date has been over slightly further so we are happy to side with the debutante Gallant Hero.
