Some smart chasers have won this Grade 2 down the years. Nuts Well improved out of all recognition last season and progressed again to score at Kelso earlier this month. He looks to strike a blow against the big stables for his small yard but has to concede weight all round. Itchy Feet won the Scilly Isles at Sandown last season and was still travelling when unseating his rider in the Golden Miller at Cheltenham subsequently. Clondaw Castle won a very competitive handicap at Warwick in February and Imperial Presence arrives in peak form. Magic Saint, Midnight Shadow and the prolific mare Annie Mc are others to consider but OLDGRANGEWOOD (NAP) has a very solid record on the Mildmay Course here and goes well fresh. He ran well in a Grade 3 at the Cheltenham Festival in March so gets the nod.
