Verdict

You're Special has been in good form over fences during the summer but faces a stiff task giving weight away all round and preference is for Ballylusky, who gets the verdict over Mister Dave's. The last mentioned comes here on the back of a comfortable win at Wetherby earlier in the month but that was a four runner race and this is tougher. The Venetia Williams-trained Misty Future has been well placed to win his last two starts but has gone up in the weights as a result and may struggle to win again. Stand Easy would want plenty more rain, while Lodestar has been held in lesser company than this already this term. Commanche Quest is worthy of a mention with the Mary Reveley yard coming back into form but a chance is taken with Ballylusky. An improved performer over hurdles last season, he looks to be potentially well treated over fences in a handicap and, with Jonjo O'Neill's team in good form, he gets the vote.
