With the next three races likely to feature very short-priced favourites, punters will be keen to flex their muscles in this opener. Gordon Elliott trained last year's winner and Eshtiaal won a pipe-opener at Dundalk recently. But his Tiger Roll didn't appear to stay when tried over 3m in last season's World Hurdle and Squouateur couldn't justify market support in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham off his new mark. If In Doubt, At Fishers Cross and Join The Clan also sport the McManus colours and the former was third, just behind Arpege D'alene, is the Pertemps Final at The Festival. Kings Palace was third over fences at Cheltenham but UBAK (NAP) has come right back to his best lately and may be the pick of the weights. He is closely matched with Long House Hall on their run together in the Coral Cup but will be better suited by today's easier going and he did win a Grade 2 at this meeting three years ago. Ballycross was raised a massive 13lb after winning at Sandown and may find this task beyond him while Rock The Kasbah and Silsol may also be too high in the weights now.
