Verdict

This Grade 2 bumper has been a bit of a nightmare for punters in recent years with more than half of the last nine winners starting at 14/1 or bigger. Warren Greatrex had a fancied runner in this last year and saddles the likely favourite in Petticoat Tails, who only found the unbeaten Cap Soleil too strong when surrendering her own unblemished record in a Listed race at Sandown last month. Martello Park and Oscar Rose both look held on that run. Irish Roe came up short against the boys in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham but may have needed that run and she also holds Oscar Rose on the form book. Shearling has won three out of four and Maria's Benefit showed a good turn of foot at Huntingdon last time and is going the right way. SWEETLITTLEMYSTERY did well to defy a penalty at Ascot after making a winning debut at Towcester and she is fancied to complete her hat-trick in this.
