Matt Fitzpatrick has set his sights on breaking on to the PGA Tour after a winning finish to his 2016 European Tour campaign in Dubai.
Fitzpatrick secured a five-year exemption in Europe by winning the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, ending the week one stroke clear of compatriot Tyrrell Hatton.
Fitzpatrick had previously celebrated success at the 2015 British Masters supported by Sky Sports and June's Nordea Masters, with his latest triumph making him the youngest English three-time winner in European Tour history.
The 22-year-old ended the season sixth in the Race to Dubai standings as a result of his Dubai victory, with Fitzpatrick now looking to become a success on both sides of the Atlantic.
"I think it's the biggest victory of my career so far," Fitzpatrick told Sky Sports News HQ on Wednesday. "It gives me plenty of confidence now to push on for next year.
"I've got a five-year exemption on the European Tour, so for at least three of the five I'm going to be pushing hard to try and get that PGA Tour card.
"Hopefully I'll give myself a good chance and eventually be able to play on both tours."
