Carson Jones has promised a "classic" performance against Ted Cheeseman and will only be satisfied with a knockout win over the super-welterweight prospect.
The 31-year-old American has earned respect in Britain for memorable battles in recent years and returns to face Cheeseman on the Lawrence Okolie-Isaac Chamberlain bill at The O2 on February 3, live on Sky Sports.
Jones ended Ben Hall's unbeaten record with a sixth-round stoppage on his last trip to these shores and is confident he can upset another youngster.
"That's always my goal. If it's not a knockout, I'm not happy," Jones told Sky Sports.
"Obviously a win is a win, but I always like to knock guys out. I think everybody likes knockouts. That's what I'm known for when I win fights. I'm not known for winning decisions.
"Just expect more of the same, classic Carson Jones. The guy comes to fight and it should be a great night."
The Oklahoma man seriously troubled Kell Brook in the first of two hard-fought defeats and also holds a win over Brian Rose.
Jones angrily contested a points loss to Antonio Margarito in his last fight and believes victory over Cheeseman will put him back on track for another big-name bout.
"I'm a good test for anybody in the sport in my weight class, regardless of it's a young fighter, or a proven contender already," said Jones.
"Going to someone else's hometown doesn't bother me. I have done that several times and I've done it all throughout my career. In England, Mexico, wherever. A fight is a fight, so it's not going to bother me to go to someone else's hometown.
"He's a youngster, he's 22 years old, and he hasn't really fought competition like me. But I think it will be a good fight for me, another coming out party, and hopefully it will propel me into a bigger fight after this one."
