Okolie vs Chamberlain: Lawrence Okolie and Isaac Chamberlain to fight at O2 Arena on February 3

Bitter London rivals Lawrence Okolie and Isaac Chamberlain will face each other early in the New Year, live on Sky Sports.

The unbeaten cruiserweights will meet head-on at the O2 Arena on Saturday, February 3, to settle a score that has been building up for months.

The pair have been at war on social media with Brixton's Chamberlain confronting Hackney's Okolie when they were both ringside at York Hall.

Chamberlain watched his Olympian rival win at the same venue last week and with Okolie calling him out live on Sky Sports, signed the deal that will see them put their unbeaten records on the line.

Okolie said: "I think it's going to be a bloody, brutal fight.

"I said when I first turned professional I'm not here to mess about, I want to take risks and push on. Chamberlain has done a lot of talking and on February 3 we'll see if he can back up his words.

"It's one for the fans in a thriving domestic division. People will finally see me come out of the cage."

Chamberlain said: "It's been a long time coming. I'm pleased we have finished and signed off on all the negotiations, now that is done we can focus on the fight. It's a great fight for British boxing fans.

"Nothing has been given to me and I still have that underdog mentality - everything I want I have to go and get it, I've earnt my stripes.

"That's made me a lot stronger fighter and that's going to show on February 3. I want to knock him out. I'm going to knock him out. I'm going to train so hard, I'm going to knock him out cold."

The cruiserweight capital clash will top a busy O2 bill, which will also see Natasha Jonas in action while Watford's Reece Bellotti will make the first defence of his Commonwealth featherweight title against Ben Jones.

Essex fans' favourite Ted Cheeseman takes a huge step up to take on Carson Jones, the American welterweight who took on Kell Brook (twice) and Brian Rose.

Okolie's Rio Olympic team-mate Joshua Buatsi returns from injury on the bill, with another Hackney star, Ohara Davies, in action, along with Felix Cash.
