Lawrence Okolie expects Isaac Chamberlain to wilt under the pressure when the pair sort out their "British Beef" at the O2 on February 3.

Cruiserweights Okolie and Chamberlain will headline a card for the first time, live on Sky Sports, all in the presence of world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, whose management company looks after Okolie.

The fight comes early in the careers for the London rivals - Okolie (7-0-KO6) representing Hackney and Chamberlain (9-0-KO4) from Brixton - but Olympian Okolie feels he is much better prepared for the big stage.

And staying on that big stage is one of his inspirations ahead of easily the biggest fight of his brief professional career.

Speaking at a heated press conference at a central London hotel, the 25-year-old said: "I'm happy to be sitting on the top table now and it feels good. Obviously I expect to win and continue to be on the top table.

"We've got friends here, south and east London, but none of that matters when it comes to February 3 - I'm putting on 10oz gloves, Isaac's putting on 10oz gloves and we make that walk to the ring.

"It's going to swallow him whole, but as for me, I enjoy the big occasion and stepping up to the plate. It's then we will see if all the talk, all the social media he posts, if it's real.

"Since the fight has been signed he's quietened down a bit because the reality of it is all hitting him. They know they are in serious trouble come February 3. Talk is cheap but I am going to do some damage.

"What kind of a coach, training a fighter to fight, is interested in hype over performance? You guys see me as a big money fight - I see you as a good fighter and a good step up on my journey."

Anthony Joshua will be watching Okolie-Chamberlain with interest

Joshua will be at ringside and is relishing the chance to cheer on two more of Britain's brightest young talents.

He told Sky Sports News: "This is a fight that has been bubbling for ages so I jumped at the opportunity really to bring attention to what these guys are trying to achieve.

"It's a big fight so early on in their careers but then it leads them into a big 2018. I know them both well, I've sparred many rounds with Isaac and then with Lawrence with the Olympic team.

"I want to take the fight to my audience and make them aware what these guys are trying to achieve. The fight will definitely deliver come February 3."
