Dallas Cowboys' play-off position is confirmed after Washington Redskins lost 31-23 to Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
The Cowboys put themselves in with the chance of qualifying for the play-offs with their 11th straight win on Thursday night, holding off Minnesota Vikings to claim a 17-15 victory.
Defeats for either the Redskins or Tampa Bay on Sunday would guarantee Dallas entry to the play-offs as the Wildcard at the very least, and the Cardinals' win ensures the Cowboys are the first NFL team to qualify.
Dallas have lost just one game this season, and lead the NFC East ahead of the New York Giants. The Redskins could miss out on the play-offs after Tampa Bay won their game against San Diego Chargers 28-21.
Arizona also prevented Seattle Seahawks from clinching the NFC West division with their win, with Carson Palmer throwing for 300 yards and three touchdowns.
The Seahawks lead the NFC West with an 8-3-1 record after a resounding 40-7 victory over Carolina Panthers on Sunday night, and are still in the hunt for the number one seed and home field advantage.
