Former Tottenham man Michael Carrick thinks White Hart Lane will be remembered for producing entertaining football.
Spurs will play the final match at their home of 118 years on Sunday when they take on Carrick's current side Manchester United, live on Sky Sports' Super Sunday.
Carrick left White Hart Lane for United in 2006 in a £19million deal and has won 16 major honours in over 450 appearances for the club.
Despite being away for over 10 years, Carrick still has fond memories of his time playing in north London.
"It's a ground I've really enjoyed playing at both for and against Tottenham," Carrick told Sky Sports.
"They've always had teams where it's been entertaining football to watch - I've been involved in some great games over the years.
"My first London derby against Arsenal - we lost 5-4 in the end - that was my second game but things like that always stick in the memory."
Spurs were hoping to go into Sunday's game still with a chance at the Premier League title, but disappeared after Chelsea's victory on Friday Night Football at West Brom secured the title for the west Londoners.
Although the Premier League crown is now an impossible dream for Mauricio Pochettino's men, Carrick doesn't think they'll drop their high level of performance and uses the example of West Ham's final ever game at the Boleyn Ground last season, where they beat Manchester United 3-2.
"It's going to be an emotional day for Spurs fans - we experienced it another of my previous clubs at West Ham last season," he said.
"We've seen what these types of games bring and we'll be ready for it. On behalf of Tottenham it's a huge day for them - it's going to be a challenge but one we're looking forward to.
"It's almost a one-off game for them, now they can't win the league. The pressure is now off them in that respect. It will be interesting to see how it goes."
United's chances of making the top-four this season look very slim following their 2-0 at Arsenal last weekend.
After making the Europa League final on Thursday, Jose Mourinho said that changes should be expected in a hectic final period of the season where his side will play four games, starting in north London on Sunday afternoon.
Carrick thinks squad rotation is required to keep the players fresh but is adamant United will be going all out to win every game.
"We've got to keep pushing even if [top four] is mathematically impossible," he said.
"We need to keep that edge for the cup final - you can't cruise through the next three games and then expect to be ready for the final. Whoever plays in the games, you've got to play with everything you've got and play to that level."
