The 23-year-old is quickly climbing the ranks and 'Chambo' is confident that a win over Jervier at York Hall, as part of the latest NXTGEN show, will push him onto a major title shot.

The Brixton cruiserweight has been sparring the likes of WBO world champion Olexsandr Usyk and Mike Perez and he is confident that the improvements he has made will show come fight night.

"Jerver is definitely a live opponent and everyone he has beat has been via stoppage," Chamberlain said.

"It is just important for me to win and look very good in doing so, I need to show that I'm levels above.

"Sparring the likes of Usyk, Perez and [Mateusz] Masternak has been brilliant. I've been their best partner and they keep calling me back for more - I'm humbled that they rate me.

Swindon's Luke 'The Duke' Watkins recently claimed the rainbow belt, but Chamberlain, who sat ringside for the contest, was far from impressed with what he saw.

"I went to watch Watkins and I really, really want to take him on, I don't want to say too much but me and my trainer saw a lot of flaws.

"His opponent came in very unfit, but Watkins still lost the first four rounds in my books.

"I'm ready for that shot and I'll fight him anywhere. I'm already preparing for the opportunity, now I just need to get the job done on Friday."
