Charlie Edwards says he is building towards a future fight with Kal Yafai and credits the "immense" sparring and training set-up under the tutelage of Adam Booth.
Edwards fights this Friday night as part of the latest edition of the NXTGEN series to hit London's York Hall, live on Sky Sports.
The 24-year-old, who fell short in his tilt at world honours 12 months ago, believes he has made great improvements since that humbling defeat and now, with Adam Booth in his corner, things have gone up a level.
Bantamweight world champion Ryan Burnett and amateur standout Josh Kelly are just two of the names to join Edwards in what is quickly becoming one of the most exciting gyms in the country.
"The gym is buzzing, we're like a big family and it's where we all feel at home," the British super-flyweight champion said.
"With the likes of Burnett, Kelly and Lucien Reid, we buzz off and push each other to be the best we can be.
"People would pay to see the spars that we have, even when we're not fighting ourselves, we will sit and watch the others spar - you're always learning.
"Burnett especially, I've learnt so much just training alongside him and with Adam [Booth], well the improvements I've made are immense."
The Surrey fighter returns to York Hall after a spell of arena outings and despite his love for the iconic venue, it is a much bigger objective, a fight with Kal Yafai, which Edwards hopes will materialise.
He continued: "I've fought at York Hall a lot throughout my boxing career, I love it there, it's gritty and old school and it always brings back old memories.
I have a great British rival in Kal Yafai and that's a big domestic showdown that I'm sure the fans will want to see down the line
"I enjoy going there and fighting with the crowd almost on top of you, after all it's the home of British boxing.
"I want to make a statement on fight night and show my improvements, I'm ready to put on a show.
"My goal has always been to become a world champion and I believe my team have me on the right path for that to happen.
"I'm not sure how far I am from the world scene, I just face whoever they put in front of me.
"I have a great British rival in Kal Yafai and that's a big domestic showdown that I'm sure the fans will want to see down the line.
"The division is flying on the world scene and I look forward to eventually being a part of it."
