British No 1 Andy Murray will face qualifier Radek Stepanek in the first round of the French Open.
Murray has beaten the Czech veteran in six of their past eight matches, but the 37-year-old took the world No 2 to three sets in the Madrid Open earlier this month.
The 29-year-old is the second seed at Roland Garros for the first time and he has avoided both nine-time French champion Rafael Nadal, who is seeded third, and world number one and top seed Novak Djokovic. Nadal and Djokovic are now scheduled for a blockbusting semi-final, should they progress.
Should the draw follow the seedings, Murray would meet fifth seed Kei Nishikori in the quarter-finals and defending champion Stan Wawrinka in the last four.
Before that, Murray is likely to play Germany's Mathias Bourgue in the second round, big-serving Ivo Karlovic in the third and American John Isner - also known for his booming serve - in the fourth.
Wawrinka has a potential banana skin in the first round - Lukas Rosol, the Czech player who shocked Nadal at Wimbledon in 2012. The No 4 seed needed three tough sets to overcome Rosol in the semi-finals of the Geneva Open on Friday.
Earlier on Friday, it was confirmed that home favourite Gael Monfils would join Roger Federer in pulling out of the year's second Grand Slam event.
Djokovic, who would become the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to hold all four Slam titles at the same time should he win a first French Open crown, will play world No 110 Lu Yen-hsun of Taiwan in round one.
Nadal was drawn in a tough quarter and will meet Australian Sam Groth - the world's fastest server - first up. He could face Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the host nation's main hope, in the quarter-finals.
The other two British players in the men's draw, Aljaz Bedene and Kyle Edmund, both joined Murray in drawing qualifiers with Bedene taking on Gerald Melzer of Austria and Edmund facing Georgia's Nikoloz Basilashvili.
Britain's No 1 women's player Johanna Konta faces a tough first-round battle with in-form German Julia Goerges.
Heather Watson faces American Nicole Gibbs, Naomi Broady takes on another American in Coco Vandeweghe and Laura Robson will play Germany's Andrea Petkovic.
Women's top seed and defending champion Serena Williams will start against Magdalena Rybarikova and looks to have the tougher half of the draw.
Victoria Azarenka is a potential quarter-final opponent while third seed Angelique Kerber, who beat Williams to win the Australian Open, could play the American in the last four.
Second seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland is scheduled to face 2014 runner-up Simona Halep in the last eight.
