England Under-20s international Rory Clegg will return to the Newcastle line-up for the European Challenge Cup visit to Spanish champions Cetransa El Salvador.
The 19-year-old missed the 10-9 defeat to pool leaders to Brive with a groin strain, however he has been declared fit to play at No.10, with Tom May returning to full-back.
Alex Tait also comes onto the wing, while prop Jon Golding starts with Carl Hayman's away.
Newcastle need a win Valladoid to keep alive their hopes of making it to the last eight.
