Castres host Rovigo in the Amlin Challenge Cup on Friday in what is a dead rubber in Pool Three of the competition.
The two sides find themselves cut adrift from group rivals Saracens and Toulon, who meet at Vicarage Road on Thursday night.
Top 14 pace-setters Castres will use the match as an opportunity to impress ahead of the run-in to their domestic campaign.
Former Stade Français scrum-half Alexandre Albouy starts at number nine for the hosts, who have lost their previous two European outings at Stade Pierre Antoine this season.
However they did manage a 76-11 win over Rovigo, who have scored just two tries and conceded 31, in the reverse fixture.
