Australian winger Amos Roberts returns to Wigan's squad for the visit of the Huddersfield Giants on Friday night.
The 28-year-old former Sydney Roosters star has taken time to adapt to the rigours of Super League and was dropped for the Warriors' 38-12 mauling of the Salford City Reds last time out.
Eamon O'Carroll also featured for the reserves last Friday, but has not been so lucky - breaking a bone in his foot.
Darrell Goulding comes into the squad with the prop forward ruled out for 10 weeks and Karl Pryce out with a hip complaint, but Gareth Hock has suitably recovered from his hand injury.
The England second-rower, who was sent off in the corresponding fixture last season, had told his brother-in-law and former Wigan team-mate Kevin Brown the injury was serious, but that has not proved to be the case.
The Warriors went down 34-4 to the Giants at home in July and face a side that has won their last seven away matches.
Headache
Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown is delighted to have his injury-hit squad back to full strength, meanwhile, but they are still waiting for Australian Liam Fulton to boost their ranks as he awaits a visa.
Forwards Eorl Crabtree and Simon Finnigan returned to action in Sunday's 46-6 win over Harlequins, and the return several other players means Brown now has a different selection headache to cope with.
With hooker David Faiumu and back-rower Andy Raleigh passed fit for the game at the JJB, and former Wigan winger Martin Aspinwall back from a torn calf muscle, Brown goes from trying to find some fit players to a real selection dilemma.
Reserve half-back Tom Hemingway is the only Huddersfield player not available as he continues to recover from a shoulder re-construction.
Huddersfield find themselves in fourth place in the Super League table after starting the season with four wins out of six, and Brown is hoping to further boost his ranks with a new arrival.
Australian utility player Liam Fulton is waiting to move to the Galpharm Staduim as soon as he is granted a visa.
"He's still training with Wests Tigers so he'll turn up in good shape," said Brown.
"We're just waiting for the phone call and hopefully that will be sooner rather than later."
