Scott Yates posted a hat-trick of tries for injury-hit Widnes as they saw off Lezignan 44-24 in their delayed Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth-round tie.
Widnes outclassed the French Cup finalists to triumph at the Stobart Stadium and line up a plum home tie against Wigan in the next round.
The Vikings made a perfect start thanks to a Thomas Coyle try just three minutes in, but the visitors edged in front with touchdowns from Adel Felous and Nicolas Munoz and three goals from Munoz to make it 14-6.
Widnes turned the game on its head midway through the first half when Anthony Thackeray, Matt Gardner and Chris Gerrard landed a try apiece in just six minutes.
Yates scored two further tries just before half-time to extend the home side's lead to 32-14.
Tries either side of the break from Jye Mullane and Phillippe Laurent and another goal from Munoz cut the advantage to eight points, but Widnes forward Ben Kavanagh added the insurance with his side's seventh try eight minutes from time.
Yates then dealt the final blow to the French side as he completed his hat-trick with three minutes remaining.
