Wakefield are set to welcome back prop Richard Moore for the first time since August for the visit of Bradford.
The 27-year-old lost two stones in weight after being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease last year but has had a couple of recent run-outs in the reserves and is ready for his Super League return.
"He's now 106 kilos so he's put all his weight back on and he is looking exactly as he did before," said Wildcats coach John Kear.
"The medical staff have done a very good job and Richard has been very disciplined by doing exactly what was asked of him.
"He's trained really well - he's shown the enthusiasm of a youngster - and there is no reason to hold him back."
Moore's return is a timely boost with fellow forwards James Stosic and Rickey Bibey still sidelined, but Wakefield must do without Sam Obst after the hooker was given compassionate leave to attend the funeral of a close friend in Sydney.
Scott Grix is set to return after being rested for Friday's game against Castleford.
Bradford will be looking to build on Friday night's thrilling victory over Leeds and have second row David Solomona back for the first time since the opening day of the season.
The former Wakefield player has recovered from a dislocated shoulder in time to take on his old team-mates.
Acting captain Andy Lynch picked up a dead leg at against Leeds but is hoping to have recovered in time while teenage centre Jason Crookes comes in for Chris Nero, who misses out with a shoulder problem.
