Salford will be hoping it is third time lucky when they welcome second-placed Warrington to the Willows on Friday night.
The Reds have lost twice already to their next opponents this season in the engage Super League, conceding exactly 100 points in the process.
The last meeting of the pair came at the start of May when the Wolves ran in 12 tries in a 68-12 hammering during Magic Weekend.
Since that loss at Murrayfield, Salford have managed back-to-back victories over high-flying St Helens and bottom club Catalans Dragons.
"You don't think about revenge because it puts you off what you should be doing in your game," Salford coach Shaun McRae said.
"I spoke at the time about being humiliated and the players obviously felt the same so there will be individual motivation and we don't need to talk too much about that."
Stefan Ratchford won't be able to try and help Salford make it three wins on the spin as he is sidelined with a shoulder injury.
McRae is also without front-row pair Rob Parker and Ray Cashmere, though second-rower Luke Adamson is available again.
Westwood suspended
Having clinched a place in the Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-finals last weekend, Warrington will be looking to maintain their pursuit of current Super League leaders Wigan with a win on their travels.
The Wolves, who beat the Reds 32-2 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium back in April, will be without the suspended Ben Westwood.
The second-rower was handed a one-match ban for use of the forearm in a tackle during his side's 26-22 triumph at the Bulls last Sunday.
Paul Wood is also ruled out through a shoulder problem, but back-rower Louis Anderson returns after missing the game at the Grattan Odsal Stadium for personal reasons.
"This game will be another tough challenge for us as they'll sure to be put out a very determined performance," Warrington coach Tony Smith said.
"We'll take nothing for granted."
