Salford coach Shaun McRae is without the influential Daniel Holdsworth after he was ruled out for the season with a shoulder injury.
Stefan Ratchford has a similar problem but will continue to play for the Reds but hooker Malcolm Alker is ruled out with a back injury.
The Reds have had a fortnight to gather themselves following the dismal 60-16 loss to Crusaders, and remain just two points off the bottom of the Super League table.
Hull KR head coach Justin Morgan is able to welcome back skipper Mick Vella and back Ben Cockayne for the trip to the Willows.
Vella has finally recovered from a rib injury that has forced him to sit out the last three games, while Cockayne has served out a two-match ban picked up in last month's derby game.
Wigan asset Josh Charnley is included after being allowed to remain with the Robins until the end of the season, while young centre Frankie Mariano retains his place in the 19.
Morgan's men are guaranteed a top-eight finish for the second season running but the coach is not interested in where they finish, just how they perform.
"Playing well is the first port of call. If you play well and you get beat by a team that plays better than you then maybe you can handle that a little bit," he said.
"But for example, in the last two games we've played poorly and we've won both of them.
"I don't want to take that sort of form - winning form, but poor form - into the play-offs. I'd rather take good performances regardless of the win-loss."
